I think, for the work I’ve done, I should get a 6. I worked hard and well, and I didn’t just goof up or make any thing goofy. Like flowers. Or this:
Anyway, I think that even though this, like others peoples’ blogs, was late, it should still get a 5. I’ve taken some score off, because it IS late, but I think it’s still very good. If I could go back in time, to make more effecs on my stage, I would. I would crinkle up paper, paint it, and stick it to the outside like real rocks. I would add snow to the top and outside, because it’s in the mountains. And I would add a firepit, with a goat on a spit hanging over a pile of ash and bones.

May 7, 2007 by haydonkisnetIf you look straight at it, you’ll see alot of interesting things. Alot of which I’ve described here. I’ve put skulls and skeletons in the cave for a scary effect, and also because Polythemnus ate people. The trees and rocks are natural to caves, like the streaks of colour that run up and down the walls. The stalictites and stalagmites are also naturally there, and give off the feeling of being in a horrible dark cave with a man-eating cyclops. At least, that’s what I felt. I also felt the urge NOT to put flowers in the cave, because I didn’t want anything too dainty, for it wouldn’t suit Polythemnus one bit. He probably kill the flowers by sitting on them, anyway.
Stage Design Reflection 2
May 7, 2007 by haydonkisnetOut of all the class, I think mine would have come in on the top ten. All of 6A, anyway. I believe this because I spent alot of time and carefull work on it and I think it turned out great. And personally, out of all the artwork I’ve done, I think this is one of the best. I think this because of the quality, effort, and outcome of the whole thing. I think anyone else would see it as a good peice of work, too. It’s not just black and gray, but it has all sorts of colours that you would only see in a cave. Also, instead of sticking to the minimum, or just doing the easiest thing, I did more, thoughtful things. Instead of just putting one row of anything on the bottom, I put one row at the top, as well. This is one of the times I didn’t do the minimum, and it had a great outcome. I’m proud.
Stage Design Reflection
May 3, 2007 by haydonkisnetIn art class we have done a new project. It’s like a diorama, but based on a myth or legend. I did one from The Adventures of Ulysses, a book we were reading in class. It’s about the Cyclops, Polythemnus, one of Posiedons’ sons. I made a picture of his cave from the inside looking out, and I think it looks pretty good.
This is the process I used. The way I made this was by getting a box and tissue. Then I dunked the tissue in glue and water and put it on the outside and inside of the box. This was to make it easier to paint, because it is hard to paint on that slippery cardboard. However, I didn’t put it on the bottom, because I didn’t paint there. It did make it easier to paint though, and I easily painted the whole box like the outside and inside of a cave (except for the bottom of the and the back of the inside, because the backdrop, or background, was there). Then I cut out cardboars wings, to go on the sides, and painted them with skulls, skeletons, trees, and rocks. Lastly, I hung up stalictites on the ceiling and stuck stalagmites to the ground, all at the front, and it made a nice effect.
Paul Klee Reflection
March 6, 2007 by haydonkisnetMy class did a Paul Klee painting (or we each did one individually, anyway). I did a really baaaad job, and I don’t want to show a picture or tell you my grades. I’m sorry, but it’s true. I tried, but you know, it’s really hard to do something good when you start off really bad. Anyway, it was really fun, and that’s what counts.
My Reflection
November 9, 2006 by haydonkisnetWith my colour wheel project, I got more than I expected, and I had a two-part test. The first part, the paper, nobody has gotten a grade on yet on yet. But with the second part, out of four things to do, I was the only one to get three, and I got a perfect grade, witch was -again- more than I expected. I’m proud of it because I was the only one in the class to get perfect.
Colour Wheels
November 3, 2006 by haydonkisnetI am doing a colour wheel project, with colour wheels and info, and text. I’ve made three colour wheels, including primary colours, secondary colours, and tritary colours. Have a good look. I hope you learn something!
